Tamara received a graduate degree from South University, where she earned a Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling. Tamara has experience working with numerous populations, such as adolescents, couples, families, incarcerated individuals, and community mental health.
Tamara’s work as a provider is a collaboration with her patients. She listens to her patients and walks alongside them, assisting them in developing strategies that support the goals and objectives that they want for their lives. Tamara gains great satisfaction and a sense of purpose from her work as a therapist and is passionate about helping individuals overcome obstacles and barriers that prevent them from being the best version of themselves. She is experienced in offering individual, couples, family, and telehealth therapy to teens and adults, utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), including trauma-focused CBT, Brief-Solutioned Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for Emotional Regulation and transforming irrational thinking patterns.
