Sommer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and has served in the mental health and substance use field for over twenty years. She is a graduate of the Pfeiffer University Marriage and Family Therapy Program. Sommer is determined to cultivate productive relationships by providing culturally attuned and, trauma-informed care through fostering an environment of vulnerability, hope, and connection. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, she has been trained to view things through a lens of a systemic framework. She is passionate about assisting individuals on their journey to wholeness and fulfillment and understands that the unit of treatment is not just the person but the set of relationships in which they are embedded. Sommer is committed to guiding individuals, couples, and families in exploring the intergenerational patterns that have been transmitted from previous generations and are currently causing disruption in their lives. She believes she is equipped to help you change the trajectory of your life and create the life and relationships you desire.

In her free time, Sommer enjoys outdoor adventures and traveling to other countries to learn and experience different cultures.
