About Lauren Miller, LCSWA

Lauren Miller is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate. Lauren graduated from Winthrop University in 2019 with a Master of Social Work with a concentration in macro social work. She graduated from Georgia State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Social Work. Lauren has 5+ years of experience in the human services field working with children, teens, adults, families and groups, specializing in depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, substance abuse, relationships and trauma. Lauren enjoys working with teens and young adults.

Lauren has worked with a variety of client populations in school, home, community mental health, and outpatient therapy settings that have prepared her to meet clients where they are in their mental health journey. In her clinical work, Lauren uses cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and strengths perspective approaches as well as creative modalities such as play therapy, role play and mindfulness. Lauren views herself as a partner with her clients and believes they have the strengths in them to overcome obstacles and embrace empowerment. Lauren's goal is to help her clients identify and enhance those unique strengths to gain an empowered perspective of themselves while learning healthy coping and communication skills to improve relationships and heal from past trauma.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also loves being outdoors, reading a good fantasy book, listening to music, and traveling to new places.
