Jenna Derderian, LCMHC Jenna Derderian is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina who has been practicing since 2022. She received her BA in Psychology with a Minor in Human Service and Rehabilitation Studies from Assumption College in Worcester, MA. Her education continued at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, where she graduated with a M.A. Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Program. Jenna believes in the power of planting seeds and promoting hope that people can change, grow, and heal. Humans are resilient beings that sometimes just need to know someone believes in them. Her treatment philosophy consists of person-centered and strength-based approaches with existential, solution focused, and motivational interviewing modalities. Jenna believes in the importance of viewing and treating the whole person through creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and present space. She believes the person in front of her is the expert and is encouraged to take the lead in identifying the direction and pace for their treatment. Jenna utilizes hands-on therapeutic activities in addition to talk therapy. In her spare time, Jenna enjoys walking her dog Beans, reading, and exploring new places.
