    Jaclyn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate who received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Jaclyn completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Appalachian State University in Boone in 2012. She completed trauma and resiliency training through STARR Commonwealth in 2021, which allows her to offer a variety of interventions to help children process trauma.

    Jaclyn's degrees in social work have provided opportunities for her to work with children and their families in a variety of settings. Specifically, Jaclyn has worked with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma prior to and during their time within the foster care system. She has worked with children and adults who have experienced trauma. Jaclyn enjoys using creative interventions, when applicable, to engage clients and help them to grow in addition to using cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness, faith based interventions (if requested) and aspects of play therapy. She views clients as experts of their own lives and works in collaboration with children and adults alike to focus on their strengths in order to progress in therapy.

    In her free time, Jaclyn enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs. She and her husband enjoy spending time adventuring in the outdoors, whether it be at the beach or hiking with their two small dogs. Jaclyn also enjoys crafting, reading, playing golf, and spending time with family.
