Jayne has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, where she was a member of both the Phi-Alpha and Phi Kappa Phi Honor societies. She also spent time working with the Social Work Empowerment Action Team.
Jayne has extensive experience and knowledge of working with older adults; the first of her 2 Master’s Degrees was in Gerontology, which she earned at George Washington University. She specializes in navigating transitions, addressing physical and mental health issues, advocating for the needs of caregivers, dealing with isolation, issues related to aging, and case management. She is passionate about working with adults and older adults and has experience in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, community organizations, and telehealth settings.
Jayne believes in meeting the client where they are and joining them as a partner in identifying and reaching personal goals for their lives. Jayne takes a collaborative and client centered approach; she supports empowering clients by focusing on their strengths in helping them to overcome hardships and obstacles in life. In doing so, Jayne utilizes approaches such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution focused therapy.
In her free time, Jayne enjoys yoga, walks in nature, following the NFL, and spending time with her dogs.
