Elizabeth was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa. She earned her nursing degree in Charlotte, NC and is currently dual certified in Family Practice Nursing and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Elizabeth has over 16 years of both acute care and public nursing experience. Elizabeth was raised in Ghana, where many things are reserved for the wealthy, this includes education, mental health, and healthcare. In many cases, a preventable illness becomes an epidemic due to lack understanding of one’s medical diagnosis and treatment course. This experience fueled Elizabeth’s desire for a career in healthcare when she got the opportunity. Today’s healthcare professionals are seeing a growing number of patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, and understanding their particular needs is crucial in reducing disparities. Elizabeth’s long-term goal is to focus on becoming an effective holistic mental health provider through experience, in order to treat, educate and manage mental health issues to prevent further ailments and comorbidities for her clients. Elizabeth’s understanding of the advanced nursing role helps her holistically manage, prevent, and therapeutically prescribe treatment.
Elizabeth has one daughter and loves travelling. She looks forward to working together with her team of professionals as well as her clients and families to achieve their psychiatric goals and needs.
