Charity is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She received her Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Teacher’s College, Columbia University. As a mental health clinician, she aims to create a comfortable, non-judgmental and confidential therapeutic space to collaborate with clients. This collaboration leads clients to develop insight into their struggles, reach their goals, and meet their specialized needs, which fosters healing and growth.
Charity has worked with children and adolescents in multiple capacities, for over ten years. In clinical practice, she has experience working with a wide range of clients including individuals, couples and families through a range of issues including grief, trauma and life transition. Charity particularly enjoys working with children and adolescents who experience anxiety, depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and defiant behaviors. Charity draws from Person-Centered Therapy while also incorporating Multicultural Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques.
When she’s not finding new ways to support her clients, Charity enjoys creating new meals in the kitchen, going on long hikes with her family, and binge-watching shows on Netflix.
