"Caitlin earned a Master’s degree from Kent State University in Northeast Ohio. While the Cleveland area will always be a home to her, she loves North Carolina for its beautiful scenery, warm weather and friendly people.
Caitlin’s graduate work included working as an individual counselor as well as a therapist in group counseling. She has worked with a variety of ages and populations including those who are homeless, those with severe mental illness, victims of sexual assault, adolescents and couples.
Caitlin enjoys providing individual counseling to children, adolescents and adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, mood concerns and low self-esteem. She also enjoys providing premarital/marital counseling in order to help clients to love and communicate with one another most effectively. Caitlin knows that beginning counseling can be difficult, but enjoys helping her clients believe in themselves the way she believes in them. She understands that every client is unique and that counseling should reflect that. While she uses many different theories depending upon what will work best for each client, some common theories are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Caitlin enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter and energetic golden retriever. She likes to be active and spends a lot of her free time outdoors. Caitlin is involved in her local church, and is passionate about trying new things."
