About Asia Fairley, LCMHC

Asia's counseling work experience includes counseling children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings and situations. Asia has counseled people with various abilities and diagnosis. Asia believes that each client has the potential for change, and that her role in the therapeutic relationship is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment in which the patient can move towards self-actualization. Asia’s theoretical orientation is based on cognitive behavioral, person centered, motivational interviewing, existentialism, and humanistic approaches. Based on the needs of clients she uses a variety of techniques including unconditional positive regard, genuineness, CBT, reality therapy, emotional awareness, psychoeducation, enactments, FCT model, and child centered play therapy interventions. Asia also has extensive training in Family Centered Treatment (FCT) and obtained her certification in April 2020. Asia is member of NC Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHC) and has experience conducting Comprehensive Clinical Assessments for new consumers going through the intake process.
Asia enjoys spending time with my daughters, family, and friends, spending time outdoors, and road trips.
