Amy is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), who received her Masters degree from Winthrop University. Amy has experience providing outpatient and community mental health services to all ages.
Her primary experience has been working with clients who have symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, attention-deficit disorders, conduct and optional disorders, individual and family stress, and low self-esteem.
When working with children and adolescents, Amy believes in providing support to parents and caregivers, as well. This is through having them be an active part of the treatment planning process, providing education and engaging in family sessions. Amy has completed her training for Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), through the Center for Child & Family Health. PCIT is an evidenced based practice to support clients and their families aged 3-7.
When working with adolescents and adults, Amy also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, as well as other modalities to support individual client needs.
Amy enjoys spending her free time reading, being outside and listening to live music with her family and friends.
