About Amanda Read, LCSW

Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate who received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina. Amanda has experience working in various roles as a mental health practitioner, most recently as therapist specializing in grief counseling. Amanda has a passion for helping people work through the hardest season of their life. She believes in a holistic approach to counseling and regularly utilizes Brainspotting and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Amanda believes that it is important to provide a nonjudgmental space for counseling. She has experience working with clients of all ages. Her goal is to help clients better their lives by making sense of life stressors through personal growth and gaining new perspectives. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog Pepper. Amanda also enjoys reading, yoga, knitting, and running.
