Nicole received a graduate degree from the University of South Carolina, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Nicole’s graduate work focuses predominately on child welfare, specifically working with young children, young adolescents, and their families who have experienced trauma within their home. Furthermore, Nicole has experience working with numerous populations, such as victims of domestic violence, mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness, and those who are developmentally disabled.
Nicole is passionate about helping people overcome barriers and recognizing their strengths, while assisting them with facing life changing crisis. Nicole understands the gift of effective communication and listening; and how it help others achieve a positive outcome. Nicole is knowledgeable with various types of theories when serving clients, however, the main one she utilizes is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Nicole believes every day is an opportunity to create a positive change, in doing so one has to change their mindset and focus on the outcome they want to achieve.
When Nicole is not working, she enjoys spending time with her son, other family, and friends. Her hobbies include hiking, exercising, and doing adventurous activities such as, sky diving, learning how to ride a motorcycle, parasailing, white water rafting, etc. Overall, Nicole appreciates life and everything it has to offer.
